Axiom vs ILS Laboratories

Where ILS Laboratories is ahead of Axiom
This section comes first deliberately. A comparison page that only flatters the lab that wrote it is worth nothing to a buyer, and you would find this out elsewhere anyway.

Axiom 4X Essential $195: Molecular Mass Fingerprinting, Homogeneity Profiling, Net Peptide Mass Quantitation, Sterility Screen. Axiom 8X Comprehensive $595 adds Bacterial Endotoxin, Elemental Catalytic Sweep, Post-Reconstitution Stability, Fentanyl & Analog Screen. Endotoxin is available as a $50 module on 4X for injectable-format vials.
Full QC Panel of five tests: purity and quantitation by USP 621 reversed-phase HPLC, identity confirmation, endotoxin by USP 85 kinetic chromogenic LAL, heavy metals by ICP-MS against ICH Q3D, and a rapid sterility screen on a DNA microarray. All five are also sold individually, with LC-MS identity as a separate add-on. Minimum 10 mg per sample; 3 vials recommended, 4 if under 10 mg; lyophilised powder preferred.
LC-MS/MS (ESI+), included in the base panel. Theoretical mass, observed mass and the error in daltons and ppm are printed for every declared component.
Identity Confirmation is described as HPLC Retention Time Matching (RTM) against certified reference standards. LC-MS Identity is listed separately as an add-on.
Axiom 4X Essential $195 per vial. Axiom 8X Comprehensive $595 per vial. Extra same-lot vials for cross-vial consistency $195 each.
No price is published on the public site. Rates for the Full QC Panel and the a la carte tests are behind free registration at portal.ils-lab.com. We cannot compare on price and will not estimate one.
4-7 business days for 4X and 7-10 business days for 8X, measured from arrival of the vial at the lab rather than from order placement. USP 71 sterility, when ordered, runs on its own 14 day incubation timebase and is never folded into a fast tier.

Where Axiom genuinely differs
Each of these is tied to something you can go and check on this site, rather than to an adjective. If the artifact named is not there, the claim is wrong and we want to know.
Identity on the base Axiom panel is LC-MS/MS accurate mass, not retention-time matching. ILS publishes identity as HPLC retention time matching with LC-MS identity as a paid add-on. Retention time is a strong presumption; an accurate mass is a different class of evidence, and for a blend it resolves each declared component separately.
We publish our prices. ILS does not publish prices on its public site.
Our certificates can be verified offline against published keys and a published digest recipe, not only by a lookup against our own servers.
What we could not establish
Gaps in our knowledge, stated as gaps. None of these is a criticism of ILS Laboratories, and none of them should be read as an absence of the capability. It means we did not find it published and we are not filling it in with an assumption.

The accrediting body and the accredited scope. The site states ISO 17025 accreditation and we did not find a certificate or scope document on it. Ask them for both.

What the QR on their COA resolves to, and whether a third party who is not the submitting customer can retrieve a certificate.
